This Scheme of Studies shall be implemented with effect from Fall 2022 Session.
08-week internship after the completion of 8^th semester for every student shall be compulsory with law firms, law offices, courts, private and public companies, government offices (legal branch), NGO’s, police stations, legal branch of armed forces, stock exchanges, SECP, banks, financial institutions, ports, media, political parties, national research institutes, industries, and with other entities to be recognized by University/ institution on the suggestion of students or faculty. Attachment/ internship period spent by each student with any entity mentioned hereinbefore shall be assessed on the basis of his/her report, self-assessment, faculty assessment and assessment provided by organizations.
All the Students after the successful completion of 9^th semester must take a research project and write a dissertation of about 4000 to 5000 words on assigned topics as per policy of the University in other BS or Equivalent degree programs, however, the similarity index measured through Turnitin or other endorsed software up-to 19% will be allowed.
In the last two semesters (IX and X) students can opt for four courses (two courses in each semester) of their choice from the elective courses offered by the university/institution.

Procedure of viva voce examination/payments:

Internship Report:
Internship report (compiled on the prescribed format) submitted on the successful completion of 8-week Internship during summer vacation after 8^th semester, shall be evaluated along with oral presentation/examination before a panel of examiners (internal). Panel, if unsatisfied, may extend the period of internship (not exceeding the total period of original internship) or re-examine after a few days or both as it thinks fit to give a chance for the award of degree to the examinee.
Payment shall be drawn for the panel of examiners as per rules of the University for the Similar Exams in other departments/ faculties.
Grand Viva (Comprehensive Oral Examination):
The candidate for the award of degree shall have to clear the grand viva /Comprehensive Oral Examination (COE) on satisfactory/ unsatisfactory basis before the panel of examiners (based on the subjects/taught courses in the degree programme) after the successful completion of course work (10 semesters).
Panel of examiners shall be comprised of at least one external member on the core subjects and not more than five internal members on the core and allied subjects selected by the Chairman Departmental Examination Committee in consultation with Chairman of the Department/HOD.
If an examinee fails to satisfy the panel of examiners through his performance, he/she shall be given not more than three chances of re-examination within four months with effect from the commencement of Grand Viva to clear this examination for the award of degree. In such a case, a candidate is unable to satisfy the panel of examiners after re-examination (in maximum chances), he/she shall have to pass a “special semester” comprising of the courses (less than 24 credit hours) as decided by the panel for the award of the degree. After the successful completion of this semester the candidate once again shall appear before the panel for the last Grand Viva, failing which he shall not be entitled to hold the degree.
The payment for the panel of examiners shall be drawn as per procedure of the University for the Practical (viva voce) Examination at BS or M.Sc. level of the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities/Sciences or in any other similar exams of the university.
