Dr. Aisha Jalil is the Founding Coordinator of Department of Sociology at MUST. She is PhD in Sociology. In her academic career, she has three distinctive positions in BS (Sociology & Cultural Studies), M Phil Sociology and PhD Sociology. Her areas of research interest are: Sociology of Medicine, Social Stratification and Marginalization and Gender Studies. She has published thirteen research articles in international impact factor and national HEC recognized peer reviewed journals. She is also HEC Approved Supervisor for PhD in Sociology. She serves as reviewer for international impact factor journals and an expert of double-blind peer review and open peer review system. Her teaching expertise lie in sociology, social anthropology, gender studies, and quantitative data analysis.

Mr. Farooq Abdullah [Lecturer Sociology]

Mr. Farooq Abdullah works as Lecturer of Sociology at Mirpur University of Science and Technology; is a Doctoral Scholar in Sociology at International Islamic University, Islamabad. His Doctoral research proposal is in the final stages of approval. He is a Gold Medalist in M Phil (Sociology) and Master’s (Sociology). He has more than six years of teaching and research experience. He has published quality research papers in national and international journals.

Nisar Ahmed Gorsi [Assistant Professor, Deputy Director QEC, MSc Rural Development]

Mr. Nisar Ahmed Gorsi has attained various degrees and diplomas in Rural Development, Agriculture Economics and Food Security from international and national academic institutions. He is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Rural Development at Mirpur University of Science and Technology.
