Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K Joins Prestigious International Consortium to Advance STEM Education in Pakistan under the British Council sponsored project: “Deliver STEM training to faculty members from Pakistan”
Strengthening its global academic partnerships, Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K is now part of an esteemed international consortium dedicated to enhancing STEM education in Pakistan. The consortium includes world-leading institutions such as King’s College London, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, the University of Birmingham, the University of Warwick, Aston University, and the University of Glasgow. The consortium, led by King’s College London, has secured a prestigious £250,000 grant to train 100 faculty members from 100 universities in Pakistan.
Representing MUST in this initiative, Dr. Zafar Ali Khan, Chairman of the Department of Computer Systems Engineering, will play a key role in driving this transformative effort.
Through a cascading training model, this initiative will revolutionize teaching practices in STEM education by equipping 10,000 academic staff with project-based learning methodologies, ultimately enhancing the educational experience of 500,000 students across Pakistan.This milestone underscores MUST’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in STEM education on both national and international levels.
