MUST observes the 58th Death Anniversary of Raees-ul-Ahrar Quaid-e-Millat Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas; commemorating his enduring role in awakening & inspiring the Muslim of the region, galvanizing youth through his legacy of courage with prudent leadership and his teachings to stand in solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir
The Directorate of Students Affairs of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K in collaboration with Department of Education, Home Economics and Media & Mass Communication along with Hult Prize MUST & Society of Young Leaders (SOYL) organized a special event to observe the Fifty-Eighth Death Anniversary of Raees-ul-Ahrar Quaid-e-Millat Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas in the Mechanical Hall of the City Campus. The occasion was marked by presence of Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities as Chief Guest, bringing together Faculty, Administrative Staff & Students to pay homage to his unmatched services for the Kashmir liberation struggle.
During the event Speakers including Ms. Rahat Shareef, Coordinator Department of Home Economics, Dr. Muhammad Bilal Bhati, Coordinator Department of Media and Mass Communication & Students from the departments while sharing their views said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir, inspired by the legacy of Raees-ul-Ahrar would continue their rightful struggle until they achieve their UN-recognized right to self-determination. They added that through his wisdom & selfless leadership, Quaid-e-Millat awakened the Muslims which had long suffered under Dogra rule. The speakers emphasized that his vision and courage continue to inspire us to support the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their struggle for justice and freedom. While addressing the gathering Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities said that Quaid-e-Millat Chaudhary Ghulam Abbas continues to be a guiding light for the people. He spoke about how the late leader’s dedication, courage & vision awakened political awareness among Kashmiri Muslims and still inspire generations today. Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal urged that the youth learn from his legacy so they can make a positive impact in the society.
