Introduction:

Electrical, the mother department of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJK and first department of Engineering sphere with University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (UAJ&K), came into being since the very inception of UAJ&K in 1980. This, of course, stands at the apex of engineering arena. The communication, power, computer & control are the offspring seedlings of Electrical Engineering. Electrical engineers design systems, its components and devices with innovative approach to find vast horizon of opportunities to ensure contributions in faciling the life on earth. The contribution may be traced in communication, defense, and design, aerospace also, more effectively in the telecom, electronic power and control industry. No doubt, life without electrical is a tale of Stone Age. The absorption of electrical engineers is found largely in WAPDA, PTCL, Pakistan Navy, PIA, Air Force, Atomic Energy Commission, KRL, POF, AWC, PWD, NDC, Education, Telecomm and Power industry, modern textile industry, Hydel Power and Electricity Department.
