His Excellency Sardar Masood Khan, Former President of the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir delivered keynote address titled “Justice vs Peace – The Way Forward for the Kashmir & Palestine Issue” at the Youth & Leadership Dialogue 2025. The event organised by the Paradigm Association in the Mechanical Hall of the City Campus of Mirpur University on Monday, June 2, 2025. Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor MUST accompanied by Deans of the Faculties, Principal Officers, Heads of Departments, Directors, Administrative Officers & Students warmly welcomed the honorable Sardar Masood Khan upon his arrival at the City Campus of the University. In his opening remarks Sardar Masood Khan, Former President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir conveyed his thanks to Brigadier Younus Javed for personally supervising & organising the program aimed at equipping today’s Youth with the skills needed to adapt to the complexities of the contemporary world & understand the evolving Global landscape. He also commended the initiative of the Paradigm Association, especially Mr. Abdullah Qureshi, President of the Association for preparing young minds to confront emerging challenges & capitalize on the opportunities presented by global transformations.

He provided a detailed analysis of the root causes of the Kashmir conflict, traced its evolution over the past decades & discussed current situation along with the lived experiences of the oppressed people. He also discussed Palestine issue highlighting their significance on the Global stage. He discussed the emerging challenges & potential opportunities to craft a constructive path forward, emphasising the essential steps required to ensure a unified & effective effort toward achieving just & lasting solutions. Sardar Masood Khan also highlighted the vital role of Youth in today’s digital age urging them to actively contribute to the cause of justice and peace for the oppressed and subjugated people of Indian-occupied Kashmir and Palestinians in Gaza. He also highlighted the decades-long human rights violations, military occupation & systemic oppression endured by innocent children, women & the elderly who remain subjected to displacement, violence & the denial of basic freedoms, making the need for international awareness and advocacy more urgent than ever. At the conclusion of his talk participants asked several important & relevant questions which he addressed articulately further enhancing clarity & understanding around these critical issues.
