

Death Anniversary of Ghazi-e-Millat Col (R) Syed Ali Ahmed Shah
The Directorate of Student Affairs (DSA), Department of Law, and Department of International Relations, Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), in coordination with MUST Legal Center (MLC) and The Paradigm Association, organized the Death Anniversary of Ghazi-e-Millat Col (R) Syed Ali Ahmed Shah at the Mechanical Hall, MUST Mirpur. The successful execution of this meaningful tribute stands as a testament to the tireless efforts of MLC, the student body of the Law Department, which played a central role in planning, coordinating, and executing the event, demonstrating the maturity, civic sense, and legal consciousness that MLC continues to foster among students. The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Syed Qaiser Sheraz Kazmi (Secretary General, Syed Ali Ahmed Shah Society Mirpur), Syed Abid Hussain Shah (President, Kashmir Press Club Mirpur), Mr. Babar Ali Khan (President, District Bar Association Mirpur), Mr. Shoukhat Majeed Malik (Former Secretary Information, GoAJ&K), and Raja Naveed Akhtar Goga (Chairman, District Council Mirpur), with the worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed (SI)M presiding over the ceremony as Chief Guest. The event was further supported by Engr. Dr. Saeed Ahmed, Director of Student Affairs, and his team. The Law Department faculty, including Miss Arooj Aziz (Director, MLC), Mr. Syed Shair Abbas, Dr. Haleema Sadia, Miss Saiqa Naseer, Mr. Usman Subhani, and Mr. Waqar Ahmed, actively participated and contributed their dedication and professional commitment to the success of the event. Students Ejaz Wani, Shahmir Toqeer Hashmi, and Syed Hanzila Asghar represented MLC with heart and dedication through recitation, Naat, and speech respectively, while Sajjal Khalid conducted the stage with remarkable poise, each reflecting the values and spirit that the Department of Law and MLC strive to instill.

The Must Legal Centre (MLC) team had the pleasure of presenting the first edition of the MLC Law Review to the Vice Chancellor of MUST, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed. We were joined by Prof. Dr. Naeem Iqbal Ratyal, Registrar, and Mr. Younas Tahir, Head of the Department of Law. The Vice Chancellor warmly appreciated the effort and quality behind the publication, calling it a meaningful step toward building a stronger research culture in the department. Both the Registrar and HoD also shared encouraging words, commending the MLC team for creating a platform that highlights student voices and critical legal thinking.

Visit to Islamabad District and High Courts
Students and faculty members from the Department of Law, Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), visited the Islamabad District and High Courts as part of their experiential learning program. The visit provided students with valuable insights into the practical functioning of Pakistan’s judicial system and an opportunity to observe courtroom proceedings, legal arguments, and the daily work of advocates and judges.
During the visit, students interacted with members of the legal fraternity, gaining a deeper understanding of procedural law, advocacy ethics, and the role of the judiciary in upholding constitutional justice. The experience served as a bridge between classroom learning and professional legal practice, reinforcing the Department’s commitment to producing well-informed, ethically grounded, and practice-ready graduates.
