Brigadier Younus Javed, VC MUST, Mirpur AJ&K graced First International Movers Workshop Series at Mirpur University, organised by Graduate Placement Bureau (GPB) in collaboration with GoClean PK & Directorate of Students Affairs; while drawing upon his six decades of personal experience with ecological decline & chronicled testimony of the dissipation of once Lush Green Forests, Vice Chancellor highlighted imperative of unified response to Climate Change, attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) & promotion of Green Jobs to ensure a sustainable future.

Graduate Placement Bureau of Mirpur University of Science & Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K in collaboration with GoClean PK & Directorate of Students Affairs successfully organised First International Movers Workshop Series to raise awareness about Climate Change, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Green Jobs & Leadership for Changemakers which was graced by Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor MUST as Chief Guest, speaking on the occasion Vice Chancellor shared his Six decades of life experience & spoke about the major environmental changes he has witnessed especially the loss of once lush green forests due to human activities which has led to environmental imbalance, rising temperatures & greater risk of climate-related disasters. He also highlighted that developed countries are working actively on climate issues through planning, technology & most importantly on the awareness, while developing regions need stronger awareness & shared responsibility. He stressed the importance of such initiatives in educating youth and promoting care for the environment. Brigadier Younus Javed also commended the Director Graduate Placement Bureau for taking this noble initiative.

Engr. Maira Sheikh Qureshi, Movers Envoy, National Consultant for YECAP Shakers Fellowship & Founder of MJESI participated as Guest Speaker who shared insights on Sustainability, Youth Involvement & Green Career Opportunities. The session was moderated by Maryam Saleem, SDG Action Champion (UNDP), Mover Facilitator & Founder of GoClean PK who guided the discussion & encouraged active participation. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Faisal Riaz, Dean Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Dr. Naveed Akram, Chairman Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Director Students Affairs, Ms. Samreen Ayaz, Director Graduate Placement Bureau, Mr. Ansir Ali Khan, Deputy Director Students Affairs along with Faculty Members & University Students. The session ended with an engaging discussion, renewed commitment to environmental sustainability & climate.
