Mr. Justice Muhammad Younus Tahir, former Judge Supreme Court /Chairman Ehtesab Bureau AJ&K graced the celebration of Pakistan Day jointly organised by faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Directorate of Student’s Affairs and Postive Pakistan Foundation of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at City Campus of the University.

Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, Registrar MUST, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam, Dean Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalique, Treasurer MUST, Dr. Muhammad Altaf, Director Student’s Affairs, Major (R) Muhammad Jahangir, Chief Security Officer, Dr. Mian Muhammad Zeeshan Javed, Chairman Department of Pharmacy and Physical Therapy, Dr. Sumaira Irum Khan, Coordinator Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Department of Allied and Health Sciences, Mr. Muhammad Ayub, Director Estate and Management, Mr. Muhammad Naveed, Admin Officer, Faculty Members, Administrative Staff and Students of Health and Medical Sciences participated in the event.

Day was marked with flag hoisting ceremony by Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, Registrar MUST which was followed by various other indoor activities.

Dr. Sumaira Irum Khan, Coordinator Department Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Mr. Muhammad Aqeel, Lecture, Department of Pharmacy, Students of Health and Medical Sciences delivered speeches in which they highlighted significance of Pakistan Day, long struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for Muslims of subcontinent & great sacrifices for making separate homeland. Cultural representations, documentaries & stage performances were also part of the ceremony.

Mr. Muhammad Younus Tahir, former Judge Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir shed light on different historical aspects of Pakistan Day, encouraged University students to follow the footsteps of our great ancestors and do their utmost for the growth and well-being of the society. Certificates were presented to the organisers of the event by honorable Chief Guest.
