The Departmental library came in to 2014.The important function of the Departmental Library is serving the faculty, students, and researchers of mechanical engineering. The departmental Library has a variety of material including heat & mass transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanics of materials, thermodynamics and Reference books. The total number of departmental library collection is 5282, Students project reports.

The library regularly receives the two daily newspapers to provide day to day information to their users. The library has also been equipped with all the latest Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) such as computers, multimedia, digital cameras, photocopier and high speed internet connectivity to facilitate the faculty/ students.

Services Offered

Services include two types of services; technical services and reader services in almost every type of library.

Reader Services

Reader service is a service which involves suggesting fiction and nonfiction titles to a reader through direct or indirect means. This service is a fundamental in a departmental library to cope up with the needs of the users. The departmental library executes the reader’s services including the Open Access System, Circulation Service, Reference Service,

Technical Services

Technical services are very important in any type of the library. These services are helpful in searching and retrieving the book from the library. Technical services include selection and acquisition of material, accessioning of materials, classifying material and entering into a database/ library software and allotting subject headings. The departmental library executes the technical services including acquisition of material, accessioning of materials, adhering the DDC 23rd edition, entering a book into a database and allotment of Subject Headings.
