Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K invited Mr. Muhammad Faizan Saleem, LLM, Advocate High Court Lahore as Guest Speaker for Seminar “Dispute Resolution and Arbitration in Construction Projects” he is a key figure in Mirpur University’s successful recovery of Rs. 25 Crore (Rs. 13 Crore, Recovery of Mobilization Advance, Rs. 11 Crore, Decree against Nishan Engineering for Non-completion of Project and Rs. 1 Crore, Damages Claims against Nishan Engineering) from Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited. The aim of the Seminar & interactive session was to educate students of the Department of Law on the topic of “Dispute Resolution and Arbitration in Construction Projects”. Additionally the event served as an opportunity to honour and recognise the professionalism, dedication and exemplary services of Mr. Muhammad Faizan Saleem, a young lawyer and Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, Registrar MUST for their role in the successful recovery.

Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq as assigned by Brigadier Younus Javed, Vice Chancellor MUST, Mirpur AJ&K played a lead role in materialising the challenging task of recovering large sum of money from Jubilee Life Insurance Company. This endeavour was not only a remarkable achievement in the chronicles of Mirpur University but also a testimony to their dedication and hard work.Working alongside Young Lawyer Mr. Muhammad Faizan Saleem Advocate, Syed Zeeshan Ashiq, Project Director and other team members; Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq led the efforts with absolute dedication. Within a remarkably short span of one year, they successfully won the case and recovered the 25 Crore from Jubilee Insurance Company.

Addressing the participants Vice Chancellor lauded and appreciated the extraordinary efforts of Advocate Muhammad Faizan Saleem and Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq who left no stone unturned in the endeavour to recover the lost money from Jubilee Life Insurance Company a significant service for the future of our University, students and employees. He also commended the key role of Syed Zeeshan Ashiq, Project Director who played a pivotal role in providing all relevant material and facilitating the entire apparatus of the University for carrying out the unprecedented recovery. Brigadier Younus Javed presented shields to Advocate Muhammad Faizan Saleem, Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, and Syed Zeeshan Ashiq, Project Director, in recognition of their invaluable services to the university.

The Guest Speaker paid gratitude to the Vice Chancellor MUST, Registrar & all concerned officials who had arranged this program to acknowledge his services for the institution. Addressing the young law students of the University Mr. Muhammad Faizan Saleem shared his professional experiences with them, aiming to educate them on Dispute Resolution and Arbitration in Construction Projects.
