A high-level delegation from the Prime Minister’s Inspection and Implementation Commission (PMI&IC), led by Ms. Perveen Akhtar, Senior Member PMI&IC, accompanied by Mr. Tahir Altaf Khan, Deputy Director, Engr. Naveed Rafiq, Assistant & other PMI&IC officials visited Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K. Upon their arrival delegation was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences & other senior officials of the University.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq, Chief Finance Officer in his comprehensive briefing highlighted the University’s serious financial challenges. Dr. Syed Zishan Ashiq, Project Director also briefed the delegation on major infrastructure projects and future development plans focusing on the need for strategic investment to ensure long term growth.Throughout the session PMII&C raised numerous questions, which were thoroughly addressed by University officials. PMI&IC delegation expressed their concerns over the financial issues University is facing & stressed importance of addressing these issues urgently to maintain the institution’s future growth as well as standards of education & research. Following the briefing PMI&IC delegation had walk-through of the Central Library & other engineering facilities of the City Campus.
