The Open Public Thesis Defense of Ms. Saadia Mehboob, PhD scholar, Department of Biotechnology was held on January 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Video Conference Room of CS&IT Building of the City Campus of Mirpur University. Ms. Saadia completed her research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rehana Asgher, T.I. Former Vice Chancellor MUST, Mirpur AJ&K.

The defense was attended by Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed from QAU as external examiner, Prof. Dr. Rehana Asghar, T.I. former Vice Chancellor MUST (Supervisor ), Prof. Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, former Vice Chancellor MUST, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam, former Dean, Prof. Dr. Rashida Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, Mr. Kamran Hameed, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Muhammad Altaf, HoD Biotechnology /Director Students Affairs, Engr. Dr. Anzar Mahmood, Director AS&RB, Dr. Zafar Ali Khan, HoD CSE, Dr. Rizwan Ullah, Dy. Director AS&RB, Dr. Abdul Jabbar, Dy. Director QEC, Faculty Members, Ph.D. / M.Phil. Research Scholars and Students.

After the presentation by the Scholar there was a detailed questions & answer session in which External Examiner, Faculty Members & Students participated. After that supervisory committee, external examiner, Controller of Examination and Director AS&RB make the final decision about the defense in a separate Meeting. The external examiner announce the final decision and appreciated the scholar and the Department of Biotechnology for conducting the quality and excellent research work. Ms. Saadia is the 7th PhD scholar of the Department of Biotechnology. At the closing of the event, Dr. Raja Tahir Mahmood, Assistant Professor Biotechnology thanked all the respected guests, faculty members and students for attending the thesis defense.
