Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K observed Kashmir Solidarity Day to vigorously support for the Kashmiri people in their just struggle against Indian occupation and oppression. The event was organised by Directorate of Students Affairs with support of Society of Sciences (SoS) & Mathematical Society of MUST (MSM) in the Mechanical Hall of the City Campus of the University, event was chaired by Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities /Director, Faculty of MUST Business School.

Students from Society of Sciences (SoS) and Mathematical Society of MUST (MSM) delivered speeches, performed Kashmiri songs & presented documentaries that highlighted the ongoing hardships faced by the Kashmiri people. Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal while addressing the session stated that India has been openly defying international laws & conventions for the past seventy-five years, using tactics such as communication shutdowns, arbitrary arrests & enforced lockdowns. He emphasised that despite these oppressive measures they have failed to break the spirit & determination of the Kashmiri people. He also urged the global community to recognise the injustices & support the Kashmiris in their struggle for justice and self-determination. Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean FH&MS, Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dean FSS&H and Mr. Ansir Ali Khan, Deputy Director Students Affairs distributed certificates amongst the organisers of the Societies.
