The Office of the Vice Chancellor, Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K graciously hosted farewell luncheon in the honour of Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, Registrar MUST at the University’s Secretariat Jarikas. This special event marked the conclusion of his distinguished 27-year career highlighting his exemplary service to the University. Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI(M), Vice Chancellor MUST chaired the event & paid a warm tribute to Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq. He lauded the outgoing Registrar for his outstanding contributions, highlighting his tireless commitment in organising Selection Boards & his key role in securing a recovery of 131 million from Jubilee Insurance. Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq is a man of principles, honesty & professionalism. His remarkable skills & selfless commitment to the university have left lasting impact on its growth & success. The Vice Chancellor also acknowledged the exceptional legal team that Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq had set up, which has won nearly all the cases it handled. He prayed for his continued health & comfortable life after retirement, recognising that his absence will leave an irreplaceable vacuum & his invaluable contributions will be remembered for years to come.

The ceremony was attended Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq, Chief Finance Officer, Mr. Kamran Hameed, Controller of Examinations and other senior administrative officers. The participants recounted personal stories and cherished memories of working with Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, emphasising his outstanding leadership and the positive impact he made on both colleagues & students.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq shared the story of his entire life journey, beginning with his school days followed by his appointment in Higher Education of AJ&K and later his roles at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Mirpur University. He reflected on the challenges he faced throughout his career, particularly due to the principles he steadfastly upheld. He also discussed his role as Registrar MUST, highlighting the major milestones achieved under the leadership of Brigadier Younus Javed and with the support of his dedicated team. Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq expressed his gratitude to the Vice Chancellor for the trust & confidence extended to him during his tenure, as well as for the valuable experience he gained. He also took the opportunity to individually commend his team members, acknowledging that they were always there when needed and served as the backbone of the system. In closing he wished the well-being & continued success of the university and its community, hoping that they would keep progressing and achieving greater heights in the future.
