MUST, Mirpur AJ&K successfully hosted the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Student Community Day Mirpur 2025 organized by the AWS Cloud Club MUST. The event brought together students, faculty members, cloud professionals and AWS representatives from across Pakistan, including delegations from the University of Kotli AJ&K and NUML University Mirpur Campus. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Khuram Pervez Amber, Director QEC, Dr. Muhammad Altaf, Director Students Affairs, Dr. Sajjad Manzoor, Director MIT along with faculty members, guests & students, graced the occasion. The gathering aligned with the Vice Chancellor’s vision of strengthening digital competency, research excellence and innovation-led development across Azad Jammu & Kashmir. The event featured technical sessions on cloud computing, leadership and career development discussions, hands-on learning activities, and cross-institution academic networking. Participants gained exposure to AWS tools, best practices, and global cloud community initiatives. MUST acknowledges the valuable contributions of invited speakers, AWS Cloud Clubs across Pakistan, participating institutions, coordinators, volunteers and administrative units whose efforts ensured the success of the event. The University remains committed to fostering a digitally skilled, research-oriented, and innovation-driven academic ecosystem in the region.
Speaking on the occasion Brigadier Younus Javed, VC MUST, Mirpur AJ&K congratulated the AWS Cloud Club MUST, its President and Engr. Dr. Sajid Hussain, Chairman Computer Systems Engineering for successfully organizing the AWS Student Community Day. He also appreciated the valuable contributions of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Dean FoE&T, Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Chairman CSE and Dr. Sajjad Manzoor, Director MIT. The Vice Chancellor spoke on the importance of digital transformation, cloud technologies and industry linkages, highlighting how such initiatives equip students with future-ready skills. He also thanked the event sponsors including Rev9, Corvit Networks, Future Space, Muslim Hands, Digital Premier Solutions and Sunrise Computers. He warmly welcomed the visiting delegations from the University of Kotli AJ&K and NUML University Mirpur Campus, along with guest speakers and administrative members for their support in making the event a success. At the close of the session Vice Chancellor distributed shields among the organisers in recognition of their efforts.
