The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K organised a certificate distribution ceremony to honour the exceptional efforts of the committees involved in the Green Metric University Rankings 2024. The event was held on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in the Electrical Conference Room, the event was graced by Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI(M), Vice Chancellor MUST. The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities/Director, Faculty of MUST Business School, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Prof. Dr. Rashia Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences.

In his address the Vice Chancellor commended the remarkable contributions of Prof. Engr. Dr. Khuram Pervez Amber, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Dr. Abdul Jabbar, Person in Charge, all committee heads and members for their exceptional dedication which enabled MUST to secure the top position in Azad Jammu and Kashmir AJ&K, 66th in Pakistan, 692nd in Asia & 1213th globally. Brigadier Younus Javed highlighted the importance of their efforts in establishing MUST as a leader in sustainability, eco-friendly practices and green initiatives while encouraging the team to aim for even higher rankings in the future. Certificates of merit were given to recognise the work of the six committees established for the Green Metric evaluation. The ceremony appreciated the teamwork behind sustainability and green initiatives. At the end shields of achievement were given to Prof. Engr. Dr. Khuram Pervez Amber, Director QEC & Dr. Abdul Jabbar, Deputy Director QEC for their outstanding leadership and commitment. The Director QEC also presented a special Shield of Achievement to Brigadier Younus Javed in recognition of his constant support and guidance.
