Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M) Vice Chancellor, Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K chaired 17th Meeting of Academic Council on Thursday, May 09, 2024 in Video Conference Room of MUST City Campus.

In his opening remarks Brigadier Younus Javed extended a warm welcome to Mr. Hidayatullah Kasi, Deputy Director Curriculum Division, Higher Education and members of the Academic Council. Vice Chancellor highlighted the Academic Council’s critical responsibility in overseeing the University’s academic matters & operations. Brigadier Younus Javed reaffirmed MUST, Mirpur AJ&K dedication to offering top-notch education across various fields ensuring the highest standards of education for its students.

Prof. Dr. Khazir Ul Haq, Registrar MUST/ Secretary Academic Council presented Implementation Report on the decisions of the Meeting of the 16th Academic Council, Minutes of the Meeting of 16th Academic Council and the agenda points of 17th Meeting of the Academic Council for discussion /approval.

The 17th Academic Council reviewed & discussed Extra Semesters/Special Chances/Degrees Duration/Semester Freeze/Modifications cases, Issuance of English Proficiency Certificate , Reserve Quota for Religious Minorities in Undergraduate Programs, Registration for Undergraduate Degree programs offered at Affiliated Colleges, QEC Setup & SOPs in Sub-Campuses and Affiliated Collages, Changes in Degree Titles, Data Collection for US Trafficking in Persons (TIP), Amendments in Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Degree Programs
(4 & 5 Years), HEC Institutional Affiliation Policy – 2024, Adoption of PEC Engineering Education Guidelines, Revision of Rules for Migration & Transfer of Credits, Revised Nomenclature for Bachelor Engineering Technology Programs (MIT) and various other agenda items.
