Business Idea Competition–II successfully concludes at MUST, Mirpur AJ&K as Seventeen Student Teams present innovative & market-oriented Business Ideas at Business Incubation Center
Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K successfully organized Business Idea Competition–2 at the Business Incubation Center (BIC), MUST, with the aim of fostering entrepreneurship and promoting innovative, market-oriented business ideas among students. A total of seventeen teams from different departments participated in the competition and presented their business ideas with commendable enthusiasm, creativity, and professionalism. The ideas were evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, scalability, sustainability, and presentation quality. The competition was judged by a distinguished jury comprising senior academicians and professionals from MUST: Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Dean Faculty of Engineering & Technology; Prof. Dr. Faisal Riaz, Dean, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences; Dr. Sohaib Manzoor, Director, Business Incubation Center (BIC), MUST; Madam Samina, Manager, Innovation & Commercialization, Dr. Zahid-ur-Rehman, Director, MUST Business School; Dr. Adeel Razzak, MUST Business School; and Dr. Waqas Ali, MUST Business School.
After careful evaluation, the following teams secured top positions: First Position (Department of Pharmacy): Kaiser-e-Noor – Kashmiri Zofran Cultivation; Second Position (Department of Mechanical Engineering): Plastic – Conversion of Plastic Waste into Liquid Fuel; Third Position (Department of Computer Science & IT): Genius Hub. The honorable judges also shared valuable feedback, practical insights, and recommendations with the participants to help them refine their ideas and strengthen their entrepreneurial capabilities. The Business Incubation Center, MUST congratulated the winning teams, appreciated all participating teams for their efforts, and expressed sincere gratitude to the respected jury members for their time, guidance, and support. BIC remains committed to organizing such initiatives in the future to further strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem at MUST.
