Directorate of Sports, MUST, Mirpur AJ&K organised Prize Distribution Ceremony of Sports Gala 2025 to commemorating Student Excellence, Sportsmanship & Spirit

The Directorate of Sports of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K held the closing ceremony of its Sports Gala 2025 at Youth Development Center (YDC) Hall, City Campus of the University. Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences being the Chief Guest of the ceremony distributed shields, trophies & certificates among the winners & runner-ups. The Chief Guest praised participating students for their dedication, abilities and impressive talent. He encouraged students to stay active & take part in healthy competitions. He also praised organising team for their excellent efforts in making the event successful.

In Boys competitions Tipu Sultan House won in Cricket & Tug of War and Stood second in Basketball. Tariq Bin Ziad House won Badminton and was runner-up in Cricket & Volleyball. Iqbal House won Football while Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavi House won Volleyball & Chess. Quaid-e-Azam House won Table Tennis & Sir Syed Ahmed Khan House won Basketball. In Girls events Ayesha House performed best, winning Cricket, Tug of War & Table Tennis. Khadija House won Badminton & came second in Cricket, while Zainab House, Haleema House & Amina House also earned runner-up positions.

Mr. Abid Hussain, Director Sports spoke about importance of staying active & suggested 30-minute walk every day for good health. He appreciated students for their discipline & enthusiasm and expressed gratitude to Brigadier Younus Javed, Vice Chancellor MUST for his continued support. He also extended thanks to the staff, organisers and volunteers for their valuable contribution in making the event a great success. The event was attended by Chairman Electrical Engineering, Director SAC, Director Physical Education, Security Officer & large number of students.
