Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) successfully hosted the HEC Zone D Championship, which featured seven universities: MUST, Riphah International University, FAST, Quaid-e-Azam University, Bahria University, PIEAS University, and NUST. The event included 21 players in the singles category, with all participating universities also competing in doubles. NUST emerged as the dominant force, securing first place in both singles and doubles. MUST’s Rafay delivered an outstanding performance in the singles event, winning three matches against players from Quaid-e-Azam, Riphah International, and a fellow MUST teammate. In the doubles category, MUST’s Haroon and Saad secured a crucial victory against Bahria University.

The event highlighted not only exceptional skill and sportsmanship but also the camaraderie among universities. The Director of Sports at MUST, Abid Hussain, commended the efforts of Assistant Director Sports Waqar Saleem and the organizing staff for their dedication. Special thanks were extended to the Vice-Chancellor of MUST for his vital support, as well as to HEC for providing the platform to promote university sports. This championship was a resounding success, showcasing the talent and dedication of all participants and strengthening the bonds between the competing institutions.
