The Spring Food Festival 2024 was organised by the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (FH&MS) of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K. The Chief Guest, Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor of MUST, Mirpur AJ&K was greeted with an extraordinary and unparalleled welcome upon his arrival at the inauguration venue by Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences along with
Dr. Mian Muhammad Zeeshan Javed, Chairman Department of Pharmacy & Dr. Sumaira Irum Khan, Coordinator Department of Human Nutrition & Dietetics and Department of Allied & Health Sciences, Ms. Ayesha Jamal, Coordinators Department of Physiotherapy, Ms Tehseen Ismail, Coordinator Department of Microbiology, Faculty Members & Students of FH&MS.
Speaking at the event Brigadier Younus Javed commended & appreciated Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab his entire organising team, including Faculty Members, Students & Administrative Staff led by Dr. Mian Muhammad Zeeshan Javed & Dr. Sumaira Irum Khan, for their outstanding conduct of such an extraordinary & historic event, which has no parallel in the University’s history. The Vice Chancellor announced appreciation grants of Rs. 50,000 for the organising team, Rs. 50,000 for students who performed on stage and Rs. 10,000 for Student Ayesha Urooj from the Department of Physiotherapy for her performance on kalam Bulleh Shah. Brigadier Younus Javed also thanked all major brands of City including Nafees Foods, Mun-o-Salwa, Smoking Grill, Mishi Cakes, Babar Khan & Sons Restaurant, Golden Grill, 17 CUTZ Turkish Ice cream, Nutrifactor and various other sponsors of the festival.
The Vice Chancellor highlighted that in a short span of time the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (FH&MS) has emerged as a trendsetter in organising & celebrating major events and festivals which has significantly contributed towards its very growth, footprint and influence in the society. He also urged the Deans of all other faculties to outline their plans, engage their faculty members & students in organising events of similar magnitude.
