Collaborative Initiative under the GAIN Project between Mirpur University, Renowned UK Institutions & Premier National Engineering Brands to Revolutionise Engineering Education with Generative AI through Project-Based Learning.

Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K in collaboration with King’s College London, UK, University of Warwick, UK, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), International Islamic University and NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan has been awarded a prestigious research grant under the TNE Exploratory Grants 2024 by the British Council for the project titled “GAIN – Generative AI in Engineering Education through Project-Based Learning” .

Dr. Zafar Ali Khan, HoD Computer Systems Engineering (CSE) of Mirpur University led the MUST for this grant. The project will facilitate international knowledge exchange between the UK and Pakistan, enabling mobility for both academic teams and students. This project will expose participants to diverse cultures, ensuring that their critical thinking skills in addressing everyday challenges are not limited by geographic boundaries. This collaborative environment will help students develop as global citizens, allowing them to explore their unique talents and potential via our short course focused on the ethical and safe use of Generative AI.
