December 4, 2024Meeting on the Launch of the Three-Year Hifz-e-Quran Program at MUST
A meeting was held at City Campus, Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur chaired by Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M) Vice Chancellor MUST to discuss the launch of the three-year Hifz-e-Quran program at the Institute of Islamic Studies (IIS). The Vice Chancellor expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Institute of Islamic Studies in initiating this significant program. He lauded the dedication and teamwork of the faculty members, recognizing their hard work in developing a balanced and comprehensive curriculum that integrates Quranic memorization with essential academic subjects such as English, Urdu, and Maths and science.
The meeting was attended by key personnel, including the Dr. Asghar Ali khan, Director Institute of Islamic Studies (IIS), Dr. Sajjad Ahmed, former Director , Waqar Ahmed, Lecturer and Ghulam Mustafa, Lecturer. During the session, the IIS faculty presented their model for the Hifz-e-Quran program at MUST. They highlighted the program’s importance in providing holistic education to young students while upholding the university’s commitment to excellence in both religious and modern education. The faculty members assured their dedication to making this program a resounding success. They emphasized its potential to set a new standard for integrating religious and secular education, reflecting the university’s mission of shaping ethical and knowledgeable individuals. The Vice Chancellor concluded the meeting by reaffirming his full support for the initiative and encouraged the faculty to continue their hard work, ensuring the program’s successful implementation and sustainability.
