
Mirpur University hosts Comprehensive Media Literacy Training

Mirpur Institute of Technology, MUST, successfully conducted the first session of its Faculty Development Training during a free academic week.
The training was held as part of a cascading initiative of the National Outreach Program for Faculty (NOPF) in collaboration with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan. The comprehensive training aimed to enhance the teaching skills of faculty members, promoting academic excellence and student success.
The first session, conducted by Engr. Affan Jalil, a certified Master Trainer of NAHE-HEC, in collaboration with the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC)-MUST, focused on effective communication strategies and integration of technology in lectures for maximum class engagement. The session equipped faculty members with the skills and knowledge necessary to create an engaging and interactive learning environment. This is the first of a series of training sessions, with subsequent sessions scheduled to cover other aspects of teaching and learning, including:
• Academic planning and implementation
• Psychological wellbeing of higher education teachers and students
• Assessment and evaluation techniques
• Research and development
• Micro-teaching practices
