Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K in collaboration with Muslim Hands Mirpur has initiated the Spring 2024 Tree Plantation Campaign at the Jarikas Campus of Mirpur University on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor of MUST, Mirpur AJ&K led the inauguration ceremony. Mr. Qamar Atta, PR Manager & Staff Members of Muslim Hands Mirpur accompanied the Vice Chancellor during the planting of saplings.

Prof. Dr. Tahseen Ghous, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Naeem Iqbal Ratyal, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Daud Ali Siddiqui, SPS to the Vice Chancellor, Mr. Muhammad Ayub, Director Estate Management, Chairpersons, Directors, Administrative Staff and Students of the University participated in the Spring 2024 plantation campaign.

Brigadier Younus Javed, while addressing the participants of the Spring 2024 Tree Plantation Campaign, emphasized the critical role of trees as the lifeline of humanity, particularly in the face of global seasonal changes that have proliferated in the last two decade. The Vice Chancellor highlighted the importance of collective action in preserving and nurturing the environment for future generations and to meet the negative impacts of climate change. Mirpur University is committed to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility, he added.
