Theme: Pathways to Peace: Addressing the Palestine Issue
The Society of International Relations (SOIR) at Mirpur University of Science and Technology successfully hosted its inaugural Model United Nations General Assembly session, focusing on the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Dr. Sohaib Khaliq, Coordinator Department of IR, along with faculty members and students, warmly welcomed the esteemed chief guest, Justice (R) Muhammad Younas Tahir. The distinguished panel of judges also included Dr. Sehrish Shafi, Coordinator Department of English, and Dr. Billal Bhatti from the Department of Media and Mass Communication.
The Model UN session was chaired by Dr. Sohaib Khaliq, while Ms. Muneeba Shahid, Lecturer IR, served as the General Secretary. The proceedings were regulated by observer hosts Mr. Abdul Qadir and Ms. Aneela Kiran from the IR department.
