The delegation of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur comprising senior faculty members, students, and administrative staff enthusiastically participated in the Independence Day and Marka-e-Haq Celebrations organised at Jarikas Cantonment on 14th August 2025. The delegation was represented by Mr. Naveed Akram (Chairman, Mechanical Engineering Department), Dr. Sajjad (Islamic Studies Department), Madam Sira Shah (Education Department),Mr. Abid Hussain (Director Sports), Mr. M. Naveed (Deputy Registrar), Mr. Bilal Ahmed (HoD Mass Media Department), Madam Ambreen (English Department), Mr. Mohsin Ansari (CS&IT Department) and Mr. Rashid Mahmood (Sports Department). Their presence greatly boosted the morale of students and strengthened the University’s active engagement in national events. The faculty, students, and staff fully participated in all scheduled activities with exceptional enthusiasm, discipline, and patriotic spirit, earning top positions in multiple competitions including Tug of War (Winner – MUST Team), Volleyball (Winner – MUST Team), Faculty 100 Meter Race (1st Position – Rashid Mahmood), Student 100 Meter Race (1st Position – Waseeq Khalid), Archery (2nd Position – Saad Farooq), and Long Jump (2nd Position – Daud Suleman). The Commanding Officer and officers appreciated the participation of the MUST delegation and lauded their outstanding performance. Medals and prizes were awarded to winning teams and individuals in recognition of their achievements and disciplined participation. The celebration served as an excellent platform for fostering national solidarity, physical fitness, and mutual cooperation between the academic community and the armed forces. The University expresses its sincere gratitude to the Commanding Officer for extending this memorable opportunity and looks forward to continued collaboration in the future.
