Directorate of Student Affairs of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K in collaboration with Department of English, Society of Sciences & MUST Media Society organised a ceremony to celebrate the founding day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir at the City Campus of Mirpur University.

Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Director, Faculty of MUST Business School was the chief guest. In his address he emphasised the significance of the day, describing it as a symbol of hope and a reflection of the struggles and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people in their quest for self-determination. He expressed his confidence that the perseverance and sacrifices of the people of Jammu and Kashmir would ultimately lead to the restoration of their freedom and rights.

Students from Department of English, Society of Sciences & MUST Media Society delivered speeches, sung Kashmiri songs & showcased documentaries through Multimedia. At the end of the event Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal along with Dr. Muhammad Altaf, Director Students Affairs & Mr. Ansir Ali Khan, Deputy Director, Students Affairs presented certificates to the event organisers. The ceremony concluded with special prayers for the peace, solidarity and prosperity of Pakistan and the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, with a particular focus on the early liberation of Indian-occupied Kashmir.
