Prof. Dr. Faisal Riaz, Director, Office of Rearch, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K led a delegation to the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce. The delegation included Dr. Zafar Ali Khan, Head of Computer System Engineering (CSE), Department, Dr. Sajid Hussain, Assistant Professor, CSE & Dr. Saeed Ahmed, Director, Graduate Placement Bureau.The delegation’s purpose was to explore industrial challenges and identify potential solutions to help reduce Pakistan’s export bill, in line with the Pakistan Science Foundation’s call for science and technology-based projects, while also discussing internship opportunities for MUST graduates.The delegation was warmly received by Ch. Rukhsar Waraich, Director of SMEDA, at the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce. He commended Dr. Faisal Riaz for his continued engagement and professional approach to addressing industrial issues, emphasizing his consistent efforts to collaborate with the industry and offer practical solutions to its challenges. After introductions from both sides, the MUST delegation and the Director of SMEDA discussed different points of mutual interest.

Director SMEDA appreciated the initiave and agreed to provide all necessary support. Director SMEDA thanked the MUST delegation and accepted the invitation to visit MUST along with the Chairman Chamber of Commerce in coming weeks. This meeting marked a positive step towards strengthening the partnership between academia and industry, with the aim of solving real-world industrial challenges and promoting economic growth and employment opportunities for the MUST Graduates.
