Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, Registrar, Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K graced the celebrations of the Country’s 76th Independence Day as Chief Guest.The flag hoisting ceremony held at 08:55 hrs in the City Campus of the University on Monday, August 14th, 2023.

Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, Registrar MUST, Mirpur AJ&K hoisted the National flag, Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Ghous, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Syed Hassan Mujtba Jafri, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam, Dean Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Director MUST Business School, Prof. Dr. Muhammad khalique, Treasurer MUST, Mr. Kamran Hameed, Controller of Examinations and Dr. Muhammad Altaf, Director Student’s Affairs participated in flags hoisting ceremony of State & University flags.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam, Dean Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and students of American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) delivered speeches in which they highlighted significance of Independence Day, long struggle of our ancestors for Muslims of subcontinent & great sacrifices for making separate homeland.Stage performances were also part of the ceremony.

The Chief Guest of the 76th Independence Day, Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, Registrar MUST, Mirpur AJ&K while expressing his views on the 14th August said that Independence Day is a reminder of the responsibilities we bear, not just as members of this esteemed institution but as citizens of our great nation. He urged that we must continue to work tirelessly to uphold the values of freedom, democracy and unity. As we move through this memorable Independence Day’s celebrations; I am filled with optimism for our collective bright future, he added. He re-emphasized that together we can overcome challenges, bridge divides and creates a society where every individual’s dreams and aspirations are nurtured. Honorable Chief Guest commended Dr. Muhammad Altaf, Director Student’s Affairs for the arrangements & conduct of the event. At the culmination of the event special prayers were offered for peace and progress in the country.
