Exposure Visit of National Institute of Management (NIM) Lahore to Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K was held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 0900-1100 hours. Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Director, MUST Business School along with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam, Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Naeem Iqbal Ratyal, Chairman, Electrical Engineering Department and other University officials paid warm welcome to the NIM delegation at City Campus of MUST, Mirpur.

The delegation was comprised of near 17 Officers BS-19 of Inland Revenue Department from Federal, Provincial & other services, who were having their course at National Institute of Management (NIM) to compete for next promotion. This exposure visit has been important component of their course for senior management. The purpose of the visit was to interact with policy makers and institutions for the better understanding of national issues & policies. It was also aimed to know about the functioning, management practices, major achievements, challenges and future plans of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur.

An interactive session along with presentation about the functioning, activities, achievements of MUST was arranged in Electrical Hall of Electrical Department. In opening remarks of the exposure visit, Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Director MUST Business School welcomed the delegation at MUST. He also thanked to the top management of National Institute of Management (NIM) for considering and honoring the MUST for such a visit, he briefed about the organizational structure of Mirpur University and it’s contributions & achievements at state, national & international level. He further highlighted major accomplishments of the Mirpur University in creating an environment of research and innovation that has positively impacted society, industry and economy through fostering strong industrial networks.

After presentation, a comprehensive discussion about the issues, challenges and polices was debated. The officers asked questions about the functioning and activities of the MUST which were responded by MUST officials. Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal concluded the session while management of NIM appreciated and thanked for the fruitful visit and discussion. Moreover, as part of the exposure visit, the officers also visited the main library of the MUST and appreciated the engagement of students in scholarly work. They also visited to the NTC Department and had a brief presentation given by the Director NTC about the network communication in the MUST. After visiting the MUST, the management of NIM thanked to the Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Director MBS for the great visit and reassured the collaboration in the future.
