Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K & Lineman Pvt. Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Mirpur University. The MoU was signed by Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor MUST, Mirpur AJ&K and Engr. Muhammad Shabir Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Lineman Pvt. Ltd. The ceremony was attended by Ms. Asma Naeem, Business Development Engineer, Dr. Sajjad Manzoor, Director MIT, Mr. Daud Ali Siddiqui, SPS to Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rifat Ara, Lecturer MIT, Engr. Muhammad Adhan Ashraf, Lecturer MIT, Mr. Hafeez Bin Mustafa, Public Relations Officer MUST, and Mr. Awais Asghar, Lab Technologist MIT.

Following will be Key attributes of the Industrial training programs :

1. Annually 4-5 students will participate in supervised industrial training.
2. The trainee shall receive a monthly stipend of 18,000 PKR.
3. The company shall provide free accommodation to the trainees.

The training will be divided into four modules each lasting four months. The first module will focus on building basic engineering and soft skills, including an understanding of fundamental concepts, electrical power networks, power and control drawings, major electrical equipment, tool usage,l and organizational skills. The second module will emphasize developing engineering and technical design and estimation skills, involving work on real-world electrical project design and estimation. The third module will concentrate on project management and execution skills where trainees will undertake all critical phases of a project, from planning to completion under the supervision of an experienced project manager. In the fourth module, based on their aptitude, students will be placed in one of the following areas:

(a) Electrical Switchgear & Cable Management System
(b) Design, Estimation, and Production
(c) Testing and Commissioning
