Every Year 23rd February is marked as Kashmiri Women’s Resistance Day to remember the mass rapes committed by the Indian Army in Kunan Poshpora, Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in 1991. Department of Education & Society of Young Leaders (SOYL) of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K arranged a Solidarity walk in the City Campus of the University on Friday, February 23, 2024 to observe Kashmiri Women’s Resistance Day.

Faculty members and students from Department of Education & Institute of Islamic Studies took part in great number. Participants condemned Human Rights violations and War Crimes committed by Indian Forces in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir including Kunan Poshpora. Participants demanded United Nations and the International community to take notice of Indian Atrocities in IOJK and resolve Kashmir issue in the light of UNSC Resolution. Participants paid tribute to Victim Women of Kunan Poshpora and raised slogans against Indian Armed forces.
