A high-level delegation from SPARCO Lahore visited the Jari Kass Campus of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) to explore research collaborations under the national RESOLVE initiative.
The visit, arranged at the instructions of the Worthy Vice Chancellor MUST, was coordinated by Dr. Saeed Ahmed, Director of the Graduate Placement Bureau (GBP).
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Mohammad Sajid, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FoE&T). The Registrar MUST also participated in the meeting.

SPARCO officials presented their organizational structure (Space Electronics, Space Technology, Space Applications and Research) and history, including their recent remote sensing satellite launch from China and upcoming projects like Pakistan’s 2026 astronaut mission and lunar rover development.
The delegation detailed the RESOLVE initiative, promoting applied research partnerships with academia. They encouraged MUST faculty to utilize satellite data (PRSS.pk) and pursue SPARCO internships, trainings, and workshops. Director GBP was identified as the central point for Initiating applications for Internships, trainings and workshops and Director ORIC for initiating formal research collaborations.
Dr. Mohammad Sajid (Dean FoE&T) facilitated discussions on aligning MUST’s engineering and technology expertise with SPARCO’s goals.
The meeting concluded with strong mutual interest in future joint research and innovation endeavors.
