January 3, 2025Students Assistance Center (SAC) of Mirpur University distributes Rs. 9 Million through the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF)
Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor, Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K presided over the scholarship distribution ceremony held on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the Prime Minister Youth Development Center. The event which was hosted by Dr. Mohsin Zafar, Director, Students Assistance Center (SAC) and his team was attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Dr. Khuram Pervez Amber, Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Dr. Saira Farooq Shah, Chairperson, Education Department, faculty members, administrative officers and university students. During the event the Vice Chancellor expressed his gratitude to the Punjab Government for providing such a significant scholarship fund and commended Dr. Mohsin Zafar, Director SAC & his team for their dedicated efforts, particularly in ensuring the timely submission of applications and consistent communication with PEEF. In his address to the students the Vice Chancellor emphasized that the scholarship was a result of their hard work, urging them to continue striving for excellence and make their country proud.
As a result of the efforts made by the Students Assistance Center (SAC) & the University’s top Administration the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) has approved a total grant of Rs. 9,082,720/- for 36 students of MUST, Mirpur AJ&K. This grant allocated for the fiscal year 2022-23 is as follows:
1. 7 students from the Department of Education: Rs. 1,731,450
2. 9 students from the Department of Chemistry: Rs. 2,277,450
3. 3 students from the Department of Mathematics: Rs. 759,150
4. 3 students from the Department of Physics: Rs. 759,150
5. 3 students from the Department of Zoology: Rs. 759,150
6. 6 students from the Department of Botany: Rs. 1,518,300
7. 2 students from the Department of Management Sciences: Rs. 499,900
8. 1 student from the Department of Civil Technology: Rs. 277,770
9. 1 student from the Department of Computer Science: Rs. 253,050
10. 1 student from the Department of Economics: Rs. 247,350
