January 28, 2025The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics organised seminar on “The Interrelation of Healthy Diet and Physical Activity in Addressing Emerging Female Disorders”
The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K, organized an impactful seminar at Kashmir Model College, Mirpur, Azad Kashmir under the supervision of department coordinator M.Aqib Saeed, M.Awais Saleem and Ms.Komal Saif.
The saminar covered:
1. Overview of Emerging Female Disorders: We discussed prevalent health issues, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hormonal imbalances, obesity, and mental health concerns.
2. Role of Nutrition : The focus was on the importance of a balanced diet, emphasizing the inclusion of macronutrients, micronutrients, and hydration in daily meals.
3. Significance of Physical Activity: Our discussion explored how regular exercise enhances physical and mental well-being, balances hormones, and mitigates the risk of lifestyle-related disorders.
4. Interactive Q&A Session: Students actively participated in a lively discussion, where they asked questions and shared their own concerns. This interaction allowed us to address misconceptions and provide practical solutions tailored to their lifestyle.
