The Faculties of Natural & Applied Sciences and Social Science & Humanities jointly organised a farewell party in the honour of Prof. Dr. Tahseen Ghous, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities as she retires after a remarkable career that spans several decades in the education sector. Her contributions to Higher Education Department of AJ&K particularly at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJ&K) and Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST) have been truly commendable. Throughout her career Prof Dr. Tahseen Ghous has demonstrated sincere commitment to advancing education along with visionary leadership. These qualities have earned her the admiration and respect of her colleagues, students & entire MUST community. Her passion for chemistry and pursuit of knowledge guided her from her early days as a lecturer to her esteemed role as Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities where she made a lasting impact. As both a leader and educator, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Ghous’ contributions have greatly shaped the academic environment at MUST.

To celebrate her incredible career, a special ceremony was held on Monday, December 30, 2024 which was graced by Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor MUST, Mirpur AJ&K. Prof. Dr. Habib-Ur-Rehman, Former Vice Chancellor MUST, Prof. Dr. Khizer ul Haq, Registrar MUST, Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities /Director, Faculty of MUST Business School, Prof. Dr. Rashida Hussain, Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, Chairpersons, faculty Members and Administrative Officers attended the event. Speakers paid tribute to Prof. Dr. Tahseen Ghous recognising her outstanding service & positive impact she made at MUST. They praised her dedication to education and leadership. In his closing remarks Brigadier Younus Javed commended Prof. Dr. Tahseen Ghous for her professionalism, hard work and invaluable contributions to the growth of the university. Reflecting on her career, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Ghous expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work with such talented colleagues, staff and students calling it an honour to be part of the MUST community. At the end of the ceremony, Professor Dr. Ghous was presented with appreciation shields & token of gift symbolising the MUST deep gratitude for her exceptional contributions.
