July 22, 2024The National Technology Council (NTC), Pakistan visited MUST, Mirpur AJ&K for Accreditation & Interim Visit of Engineering Technology Programs
The National Technology Council (NTC), Pakistan visited Mirpur Institute of Technology (MIT) of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K for an accreditation visit of Electrical Engineering Technology & Civil Engineering Technology programs and an interim visit of the Biomedical Engineering Technology & Information Engineering Technology programs from July 11th – July 12th, 2024. The delegation of the NTC Pakistan team was led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amir (Team Lead/Expert Electrical) whereas Prof. Dr. Ayub Elahi (Expert Civil), Dr. Ateeq Ur Rehman (Expert Biomedical), Dr. Aftab Khan (Expert Information) & Muhammad Fahd Amin representative of NTC Pakistan were part of the delegation. They conducted two-day visit to Mirpur Institute of Technology (MIT) / Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K for the accreditation and interim visits of the undergraduate Engineering Technology programs.
Prof. Dr. Anwar Khitab, Dean Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Dr. Tasleem Kausar, Director MIT warmly welcomed the esteemed members of the delegation of the National Technology Council upon their arrival at the MUST Electrical Engineering Department. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sajid, Dean FoE&T briefed the delegation regarding the land and infrastructure, departments and running programs, research publications of faculty members and status of PhD faculty, admission policies, curricular and co-curricular activities, health and sports facilities and professional development programs of faculty and administrative staff. After the presentation the convener of the visitation team along with the NTC representative visited the MIT Department and the general facilities of the institution (classrooms, labs, examination halls, libraries, cafeterias, sports complex, hostels & allied facilities). They thoroughly reviewed the implementation of the OBE system with evidence on nine main criteria. The National Technology Council team expressed satisfaction and suggested some minor improvements as part of continuous quality improvement.The council team had a meeting with Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor, Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K at MUST Secretariat Jari Kas & appreciated the efforts of MIT Department for successfully running the degree programs and suggested improvements to the system.
