Directorate of Student Assistance Center (SAC) of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K headed by Dr. Naveed Akram, Director, SAC/Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering organised Scholarship Award Ceremony, sponsored by Need and Hope Foundation (NHF), Engr. Muhammad Waris, former Registrar MUST, Mirpur AJ&K led the NHF / Alumni delegation in which Forty Engineers from the first four sessions (1st Batch 1981, 2nd Batch 1982, 3rd Batch 1983 & 4th Batch 1984) of Alumni from former University College of Engineering & Technology (UCET) disbursed scholarships of Rs. Two million to forty-one students covering their full fees. In year 2023 eleven students were provided with five lac in full fee support. The four-fold increase in the number of students within one year highlights the significant impact of the Need & Hope Foundation (NHF) as a major project.

During an interaction with officials of Need and Hope Foundation, Brig (R ) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor, Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K expressed sincere appreciation to the Alumni of Mirpur University/ Need and Hope Foundation for providing scholarships to 41 engineering students. He highlighted that this noble act serves as a ray of hope not only for these 41 students but also for their families, enabling them to foresee a brighter future through this generous opportunity.
