Colonel (R) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Senior Most Minister, Services and General Administration/ Interior Ministry visited Secretariat of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor MUST, Mirpur AJ&K along with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalique, Chief Finance Officer & University Officials paid warm welcome to honorable Minister.

In a meeting presided by Colonel Waqar Ahmed Noor an extensive discussion was conducted on the initiatives and future plans of the Government of AJ&K regarding Digitalization, Automation & E-Governance with the aim of creating a paperless work environment.The discussion centered on shifting Human Resources (HR) to automation to boost governance efficiency & to close off avenues for corruption across all quarters of the State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, integration of biometric systems within various departments of GoAJ&K and the implementation of such initiatives within Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K as well as across all public sector universities in AJ&K. Senior Minister acknowledged and commended rise of Mirpur University at National and International canvas under able leadership of Brigadier Younus Javed.

Meeting was attended by Mr. Imtiaz Ahmad Bhatt, Director, Network and Telecommunication Centre (NTC), Dr. Yasir Mehmood, Coordinator, Computer Sciences and Information Technology (CS&IT), Mr. Daud Ali Siddiqui, SPS to the Vice Chancellor, Engr. Dr. Sohaib Manzoor, Manager, Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) & officials from the relevant departments.
