Treasurer Office & Youth Development Centre (YDC), MUST, Mirpur AJ&K in collaboration with the Department of Inland Revenue AJ&K organised Two-Day Training Workshop on “Compliance of Tax Rules” to promote financial literacy and to empower individuals with taxation skills

Chaudhary Muhammed Mehmood Alam, Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue participated as a Keynote speaker in a Two- Day Training Workshop on “Compliance of Tax Rules” hosted by Prof. Dr. Muhammad khalique, Chief Finance Officer of Mirpur University & Dr. Moshin Zafar, In Charge Youth Development Centre in Mechanical Engineering Hall of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K on 18th -19th October 2023.

Keynote Speaker Chaudhary Muhammed Mehmood Alam, Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue in opening remarks appreciated the vision & efforts of Mirpur University’s Administration for holding Training Workshops on Compliance of Tax Rules to educate employees with tax laws, regulations and planning strategies. Such initiatives of Mirpur University of Science and Technology will immensely contribute towards the growth and development of the State & Society, he added. Deputy Commissioner delivered a detailed & informative talk on the subject & respond to the questions of the participants of the training workshop.

In welcome note Dr. Moshin Zafar said since the inception of Youth Development Centre it has organised multiple awareness sessions & seminars, today’s event is also funded by the YDC and Centre will always be there to contribute towards the capacity building of Students, Faculty & Staff. Introductory session was conducted by Mr. Abdul Karim, District Accounts Officer / Audit Officer MUST, Mirpur in his talk introduced the purpose & theme of the Two Days Training Workshop.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalique, Chief Finance Officer on behalf of Brigadier Younus Javed, Vice Chancellor MUST expressed heartfelt appreciation & gratitude to Chaudhary Muhammed Mehmood Alam, Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue & the Department of Inland Revenue, AJ&K for enlightening lecture on Compliance of Tax Rules and provided valuable insights into the intricacies of tax compliance. Shields and certificates were presented to honorable Keynote speaker, conducting officers & staff of Treasurer Office.
