Khuram Munir, Vice President Al-Mustafa Mirpur (Alumni MUST) jointly inaugurated the Water Filtration Plant at Khadija-tul-Qubra Girls Hostel Jarikas on Monday, December 30, 2024.

Brigadier Younus Javed expressed deep gratitude to Ms. Nusrat Saleem, Head of Management, Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust Pakistan & her entire team for their indispensable contribution & support to Mirpur University. He emphasised that ensuring access to clean water is crucial for promoting the health of the university students & community. This Water Filtration Plant represents not just a physical structure but a vital step toward safeguarding the health of our students ensuring that they have access to clean and safe drinking water, he added. The Vice Chancellor also showed great respect to Ms. Nusrat Saleem for her promise to provide an Ambulance & Medical Dispensary for Jarikas Campus which will ensure that in case of emergency individuals can receive immediate first aid & quickly reach to Divisional Headquarters Hospital Mirpur AJ&K for further treatment. Ms. Nusrat Saleem reciprocated MUST sentiments & expressed her aspirations for the future of MUST. She said that Water Filtration Plant is a significant step toward addressing the pressing water issues that many face. Ensuring that the girls residing in hostel have access to clean water which is crucial not only for their health but also for their academic success. We are proud to contribute to this cause as we believe the future of our nation depends on empowering young minds with the right resources. Following the inaugural ceremony the delegation toured the Girls Hostel to review the existing facilities & discussed plans to improve the infrastructure further with Al Mustafa Welfare Trust.
