Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI(M), Vice Chancellor Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K presided over the 19th Meeting of Academic Council in Video Conference Room of Network and Telecommunications Center (NTC) of the City Campus. In his opening remarks Brigadier Younus Javed warmly welcomed all members of the Academic Council. He highlighted the vital role of the Council in shaping the Academic direction & supporting the intellectual growth of the University. He further said that University is focused on delivering quality education across diverse disciplines while ensuring the highest academic standards. Vice Chancellor also encouraged collective efforts for effective Academic Reforms stressing the importance of aligning teaching practices with modern educational trends.
Prof. Dr. Naeem Iqbal Ratyal, Registrar MUST/ Secretary Academic Council presented Implementation Report in line with decisions of the Meeting of 18th Academic Council along with Minutes of the Meeting of 18th Academic Council & Agenda points of 19th Meeting of the Academic Council for discussion/ approval. The Council deliberated upon several key matters including Academic Relaxations & Special Cases for Undergraduate & Postgraduate Students, Implementation of 2% Quota for Religious Minorities in Undergraduate Programs, Approval of the Minutes of 17th Meeting of AS&RB, Approval for Commencement of New Academic Programs from Fall-2025, Implementation of Curriculum Focused on Islamic Ethics, Faculty-Students Communication & Professional Conduct Policy, Approval for Nomination of QEC Focal Persons & Establishment of QEC Setups in Affiliated Colleges/ Institutions, Clarification regarding Implementation of Fehm-e-Quran Courses & various other significant topics.
Deans of the Faculties, Chief Finance Officer, Director Quality Enhancement Cell, Controller of Examinations, Director NTC, Additional Registrar, HoDs/ Coordinators, CMS Coordinator, Deputy Registrars & external members were part of the meeting. At the culmination of the meeting Vice Chancellor thanked the members for their active engagement & insightful input. He also appreciated Prof. Dr. Naeem Iqbal Ratyal, Secretary Academic Council, Mr. Muhammad Naveed, Deputy Registrar (Meetings), Mr. Tahir Mehmood, Assistant Registrar (Meetings), Dr. Waqas Faryad & Administrative Staff for their professional efforts in successfully organising 19th Academic Council Meeting.
