Brigadier (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M), Vice Chancellor Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K along with Principle Officers, Deans and Directors warmly welcomed Chaudhary Muhammed Akhtar Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Founder Chairman Kashmir Orphans Relief Trust (KORT) during his visit to the City Campus of Mirpur University on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
Brigadier Younus Javed & Chaudhary Muhammad Akhtar inaugurated Wheelchair Ramp & Water Filtration Plant at City Campus; facilities are generously donated by Kashmir Orphans Relief Trust. It is pertinent to highlight here that so far KORT has constructed five (05) Wheelchair Ramps at City Campus, Two (02) Waiting Sheds for Students at Jari Kas & Two (02) Water Filtration Plants one each at Jari Kas & City Campus of MUST, Mirpur AJ&K.
Brigadier Younus Javed, Vice Chancellor MUST, Mirpur AJ&K expressed gratitude to Chaudhary Muhammed Akhtar, Founder Chairman KORT for his invaluable support, significant contribution and services for Mirpur University especially for making MUST the first Wheelchair-Accessible University in AJ&K. He also congratulated Chaudhary Akhtar in connection with winning of the Sheikh Zayed Sustainability Award by KORT students’ a prestigious honor of carrying prize of 150,000 US Dollars. Likewise Chaudhry Akhtar reciprocated his sincere sentiments and expressed his aspiration for MUST, which emerged as the first University in Azad Jammu and Kashmir being fully equipped with all necessary facilities for special students.
Brigadier Younus Javed & Chaudhary Muhammad Akhtar commended Dr. Khuram Pervez Amber for his dedicated & selfless volunteer services for KORT and efforts for strengthening the enduring bond between both institutions. Vice Chancellor MUST also admired Mr. Muhammad Ayub, Director Estate Management & ASHRAE MUST, Mirpur for organising the ceremony in a befitting manner.
