Faculty of Engineering and Technology of MUST, Mirpur has produced it’s first Ph.D. in field of Electrical Engineering since it’s inception in 1980 & opened the new vistas for entire Engineering fraternity.

The open public defense of Engr. Faisal Mehmood Butt, PhD scholar, Department of Electrical Engineering was held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 1000 hours in Mechanical Hall of the City Campus of the Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K, hosted by Engr. Dr. Sohaib Manzoor, Manager Innovation and Commercialization ORIC.

Engr. Faisal Mehmood Butt, PhD scholar, Department of Electrical Engineering, completed his research in” Artificial intelligence based accurate load forecasting system to forecast short medium and long term load demands ” under the supervision of Prof.Dr. Syed Hassan Mujtaba Jafri, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur & co-supervision of Dr. Lal Hussain Assistant Professor Department of Computer Science University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK), Muzaffarabad. In Open Defence Prof. Dr. Jameel Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences, Riphah International University was external Examiner.
