November 24, 2024Mathematics Department has achieved its 10th milestone in PhD completions over the course of two years 2023-24
The PhD Scholars Mr. Muhmammad Awais & Mr. Moeen Taj, Department of Mathematics of Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur AJ&K have successfully defended their PhD thesis after completion of their research under the supervision of Dr. Taimoor Salahuddin, Assiatant Professor, Department of Mathematics. Event was attended by Prof. Dr. Rashida Hussain, Dean Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, Mr. Kamran Hameed, Controller of Examinations, Engr. Dr. Anzar Mahmood, Director ASRB, Dr. Kalim Ul-Haq Tariq, Chairman, Department of Mathematics, Dr. Rizwan Ullah, Deputy Director ASRB, Dr. Abdul Jabbar, Deputy Director QEC, Faculty Members & M.Phil / PhD Scholars in Video Conference Room of Network and Telecommunications Center (NTC), City Campus.
The thesis title of Mr. Muhammad Awais:
“Numerical study of flow Materials with Temperature Dependent Viscosity”
Evaluated by two International experts:
1. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Esi, Turgut Ozal University, Turkiye
2. Dr. Dumitru Vieru, Associate Professor, Technical University, Romania
and one National expert:
Dr. Muhammad Waqas, Assistant Professor, NUTECH, Islamabad.
The thesis title of Mr. Moeen Taj:
“ Numerical study of shear thinning fluid materials”
Evaluated by two International experts & one National Expert:
1. Prof. Dr. Anjan Biswas, Delaware State University USA.
2. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Esi, Turgut Ozal University, Turkiye.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sagheer, Chairperson Department of Mathematics, Capital University of Science and technology (CUST), Islamabad.
The first of the tenth minted PhDs within a year was accomplished in March 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rashida Hussain. The next followed in June under supervision Dr. Syed Zakir Hussain Bukhari after which four more were completed in August & Septemeber 2023. Among these two were supervised by Prof. Dr. Rashida Hussain, one by Dr. Asghar Ali and one by Dr. Aamir Sagheer. After that two more were completed in March & April 2024 among those one was supervised by Prof. Dr. Rashida Hussian and one by Dr. Taimoor Salahuddin, recent (ninth & tenth) have completed their PhD under the supervision of Dr. TaImoor Salahuddin.
