Mirpur University observed Quaid-e-Azam Day with reverential homage as Students & Faculty remembered the Father of the Nation whose courage, tenacious hard work & unassailable resolve were decisive in transforming the Muslim Movement for a Separate Homeland into the reality of Pakistan while his legacy continues to serve as an enduring lodestar & beacon of probity for Generations
Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJ&K, celebrated “Quaid-e-Azam Day” to mark the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. The event was thoughtfully organized by the DSA Office in collaboration with the Department of Electrical Engineering and MIT, aiming to honor Quaid-e-Azam’s visionary leadership and his historic role in securing Pakistan’s independence. The seminar was graced by Dr. Ilyas Minhas, Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Department, who attended as the Chief Guest, along with faculty members and students who joined with great enthusiasm and respect. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran (Tilawat), followed by a moving Naat in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The National Anthem of Pakistan then filled the hall, with everyone standing together in unity. Two students delivered inspiring speeches on Quaid-e-Azam’s life, struggles, and achievements, emphasizing his timeless principles of unity, faith, and discipline, and reminding the audience of his enduring vision for Pakistan.
The celebration also featured a faculty speech by Engr. Tahir Ameen, who shared insightful reflections on Quaid-e-Azam’s leadership qualities and encouraged students to embody his character, discipline, and dedication in their own lives. The event concluded on a joyful note with a cake-cutting ceremony, attended by the Chief Guest, faculty members, and students, making the occasion memorable for all. Overall, the program was a heartfelt tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, reinforcing his unmatched legacy and contributions to the nation. The success of the event was also a testament to strong collaboration among the participating departments, with the Irfan Shaheed Blood Society, MUST Media Society, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) playing a key role in arrangements & ensuring the celebration was both meaningful and well-organized.
