The Department of Allied Health Sciences at Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur AJK, celebrated World Medical Laboratory Technology Professionals Week with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation. The event was organized under the supervision of the Coordinator of the Department of Allied Health Sciences, Ms. Farhat Shaheen, highlighting the vital role of Medical Laboratory Technologists in modern healthcare and diagnostics. During the event, the Dean, Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Faisal Riaz, shared his valuable insights on the importance of Medical Laboratory Technology professionals. He also elaborated on the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Medical Laboratory Technology, emphasizing its impact on improving diagnostic accuracy and shaping the future of laboratory sciences.

All faculty members of the Department of Allied Health Sciences actively participated in the event. Their teamwork made the celebration meaningful and impactful. Heads of Departments (HODs) from Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Human Nutrition & Dietetics, and Microbiology also attended the event. Their keen interest and strong support greatly encouraged both the organizers and students. Students participated with great enthusiasm and energy in all activities. Their active involvement reflected their passion for the field and eagerness to contribute to the healthcare sector. The celebration included engaging activities and a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing appreciation and recognition of laboratory professionals. The event served as a platform to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of laboratory professionals and to inspire future healthcare leaders.
