BS in Commerce:

Four-year BS in Commerce program mainly focuses upon the vital areas of study like that of accounting, auditing, finance, taxation, computer applications, banking, e-commerce, economics, law, statistics, management, and marketing.

It is a 4-year degree program with 8 semesters and consisting of 129 credit hours including Business Project/Internship Report of 3 credit hours.

BS (Accounting & Finance)

The BS (Accounting & Finance) is a highly specialized degree, preparing the graduate as having expertise in Accountancy and Finance. The students will acquire the knowledge and technical skills needed to analyze accounting/finance and business problems, and they will understand how best to communicate and use financial information to support business decisions. The degree offers specialization in Accounting and Finance.

With the management of financial information underpinning all business activities, there are more employment and career opportunities in accounting and finance than many other areas of study. This degree will prepare students for a rewarding career in any sector of the economy. The graduates may work as a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Auditor, Chief Financial Officer, Financial Advisor and Tax Specialist.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

  • To apply for BS (Accounting & Finance) Program, a candidate must have at least 45% marks or 2nd division in F.Sc./FA/I.Com./ICS/A level or equivalent.
  • Entry Test as per university rules.

BS in Commerce Program (2 Years)

BS in Commerce Program (2 Years) for B. Com (2 Years) /Associate Degree in Commerce (ADC)

Introduction/Description

Candidates holding 2-years B.Com degree or Associate Degree in Commerce (ADC) from a recognized University /institute with at least 45% marks are eligible for admission to BS in Commerce (in accordance with HEC, Islamabad, 4-year BS in Commerce is equivalent to existing M. Com) with following conditions and required to qualify at least 69 credit hours with minimum 4-semesters to achieve CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0.

First Four semester courses (60 credit hours) of the BS in Commerce will be considered as exempted and such students have to qualify remaining 69 credit hours with no further course exemption claim.
